Department: Research & Development (R&D)
Reports to: R&D Head
Purpose
Develop and maintain embedded firmware/software for electronic medical devices.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop embedded firmware for microcontroller-based systems.
Implement software architecture and algorithms.
Ensure compliance with IEC 62304 software lifecycle requirements.
Prepare software documentation, including:
Software Requirements Specification (SRS)
Software Design Description
Verification and Validation documents
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and system testing.
Maintain software version control and configuration management.
Support troubleshooting and software updates.
Participate in software risk management activities.
Qualification
B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics / Computer Engineering / Embedded Systems.
Experience
Minimum 2–4 years in embedded firmware development.
Required Skills
C / C++ programming
Microcontroller programming (ARM, PIC, AVR etc.)
Communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN etc.)
Debugging using IDEs and hardware tools
