Position Description
As a member of our DevSecOps team within Sparta, you will work closely with developers, QA analysts, and security teams to embed security practices throughout our Agile SDLC. This is a hands-on, technical role responsible for building secure pipelines, enforcing policy-as-code, and supporting vulnerability management across our SaaS product line.
Qualifications
YOU MUST HAVE
- 0–3 years of experience in DevSecOps, and application security (internships or academic projects count)
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, with awareness of security misconfiguration risks
- Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, or similar container technologies and their security considerations
- Basic understanding of OWASP Top 10, common CVEs, and secure coding principles
WE VALUE
- Experience with static/dynamic analysis tools (e.g., Snyk, SonarQube, Trivy, Checkov)
- Knowledge of secret management solutions such as HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager
- Scripting ability in Python or Shell to automate security checks and remediation workflows
- Familiarity with CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD,Ansible) and integrating security gates into pipelines
- Exposure to cloud security concepts on AWS (IAM least privilege, Security Groups, CloudTrail, GuardDuty)
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field (or in progress)
- Willingness to pursue security certifications (e.g., AWS Security Specialty, CKS, CompTIA Security+)
- Experiencepython or other coding language
