What You’ll Do
- Create reproducible software engineering tasks that test an AI system’s ability to solve complex technical workflows

- Build isolated environments with clear setup instructions, expected outcomes, automated validation, and golden reference solutions
- Design tasks involving source control, containers, build systems, command-line tools, testing frameworks, and debugging utilities
- Reproduce software bugs, performance issues, dependency problems, build failures, and deployment errors
- Write maintainable reference implementations that demonstrate the correct solution
- Verify that tasks are deterministic, technically valid, and consistently reproducible
- Review technical feedback and improve environments based on project standards

Requirements

- Demonstrated ability to debug complex software problems
- Experience developing features and refactoring existing codebases
- Ability to create reliable, maintainable, and reproducible technical solutions
- Familiarity with command-line development workflows
- Strong written communication and attention to technical detail
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with large-scale, distributed, or mature codebases
- Strong knowledge of Linux, containers, build systems, CI/CD, or developer tooling
- Experience designing technical assessments, coding challenges, benchmark tasks, or automated grading systems
- Participation in rigorous code reviews and engineering best-practice development
- Open-source contributions or experience maintaining developer tools
- Familiarity with reinforcement learning environments, AI evaluation, machine learning systems, or human-data projects
- Experience creating Docker-based development environments or reproducible bug scenarios
