Job Title: Professional Services Software Developer Lead

Position Summary
The Professional Services Lead is an individual contributor responsible for designing, delivering, and supporting complex, customer-facing technical solutions that extend and enhance the InterProse platform. This role partners directly with customers and internal teams to translate business requirements into scalable solutions across reporting, ETL-like pipelines, data transformation, and automation.
This role is not a people-management position and does not have direct reports; its impact is driven by technical leadership, ownership, and cross-functional influence. The Professional Services Lead serves as a trusted technical advisor to customers and an advanced escalation resource internally, providing guidance through expertise rather than formal authority.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Partnership & Solution Design
- Partner directly with customers to understand business needs, operational challenges, and enhancement requests
- Translate customer requirements into effective technical solutions across reporting, data transformation workflows on AWS, and automation workflows
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and transparency
- Manage multiple concurrent customer initiatives while balancing priorities, timelines, and delivery commitments
Technical Execution & Ownership
- Design, build, and maintain customer-specific technical solutions with a focus on accuracy, performance, and scalability
- Build and maintain ETL-like pipelines for data processing and transformation use cases
- Serve as an advanced technical resource for resolving complex platform, reporting, and data-related issues
- Own problem-solving end-to-end, including investigation, root-cause analysis, implementation, and validation
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying recurring issues and refining solution patterns, tooling, and documentation
Reporting & Data Engineering
- Build and maintain complex PostgreSQL-based reporting solutions aligned with customer workflows and compliance requirements
- Develop advanced custom report formats beyond standard SQL/CSV outputs, such as fixed-length files, structured reports with defined header and footer sections, and Excel-based reports with formatting and formulas
- Create and maintain customer-specific data transformation pipelines to support account loading and large-scale file processing
- Implement scalable data transformation workflows on AWS, leveraging services such as S3 and Lambda
Custom Development & Automation
- Develop custom job logic using Java and Python to support file transformation, data manipulation, and automation
- Maintain and enhance job execution systems running within Docker containers and integrate outputs into internal systems via REST APIs
- Optimize solutions for reliable performance under real-world customer workloads
Cloud, Tools, & Platforms
- Work within a cloud-based environment leveraging AWS services, including ECS, ECR, S3, and Lambda
- Implement event-driven processing using AWS Lambda
- Exposure to or integration with AWS services such as Kinesis, AWS Glue, Redshift/Athena, Step Functions, and DMS for streaming, ETL, warehousing, orchestration, and data migration use cases
- Utilize modern development and debugging tools such as IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio Code, pgAdmin, and Git-based version control
- Demonstrated ability to leverage modern development ecosystems and AI-assisted coding tools such as Bitbucket, Jira, Codex, and Claude Code to accelerate delivery and improve engineering outcomes
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience building software solutions using Java (JVM) and/or Python
- Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL and advanced SQL development
- Experience delivering reporting systems and customized report outputs
- Strong customer-facing technical communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple technical deliverables simultaneously
- Experience working in Agile, cross-functional environments
Preferred Qualifications
- CS, IS, MIS degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience with REST/JSON APIs and system integrations
- Working knowledge of Docker and containerized execution
- Hands-on AWS experience (ECS, ECR, S3, Lambda)
- Familiarity or exposure to AWS data and ETL services (Glue, Kinesis, Redshift/Athena, Step Functions, DMS)
- Familiarity with CRM-integrated workflows
- Industry experience with ARM or debt collection platforms (a plus, not required)

Working Hours & Time Zone Requirement (Mandatory)
- This role requires mandatory alignment with the US Eastern Time (ET) zone and is not a standard Indian daytime role
- Candidates must work in a schedule that provides a minimum of 6–8 hours of daily overlap with US Eastern Time (ET) during standard US business hours
- This typically translates to late afternoon to late evening IST shifts (and potentially later during US daylight saving periods)
- Candidates who are unable to consistently support this time zone requirement should not apply
- Flexibility to extend overlaps during critical implementation phases, customer go-lives, or issue resolution is required and expected
