📢 We’re Hiring | Engineering Manager (AI & Platform – Hands-On) – based in Trichy, India
IncuBrix is expanding its India R&D Center in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, and we are looking to onboard an experienced, hands-on Engineering Manager to lead our AI and platform engineering teams and actively contribute to building our global creator-first platform.
This is a high-ownership, execution-focused leadership role for someone who can both lead teams and write production-quality code, build scalable systems, and deliver world-class AI products for creators.

Role Overview
- This role is critical to building and scaling IncuBrix’s engineering organization in India and ensuring successful execution of our product roadmap.
- As a hands-on Engineering Manager, you will lead teams building AI pipelines, creator workflows, backend platforms, and internal systems, while also contributing directly to design, development, and code reviews.
- You will be responsible for delivery, quality, people development, system reliability, and technical excellence across multiple product modules.
- You will work closely with Founders, Product, AI, Design, and GTM teams to translate product vision into reliable, scalable, and monetizable systems.
Key Responsibilities
Engineering Leadership & Hands-On Development
- Lead, mentor, and manage software and AI engineers across multiple product modules
- Actively participate in system design, coding, debugging, and optimization
- Review pull requests, architecture proposals, and technical documents
- Build a high-performance, ownership-driven engineering culture
- Support hiring, onboarding, and team scaling
- Coach and develop junior and mid-level engineers and future tech leads
Delivery & Execution
- Own sprint planning, execution, and release commitments
- Drive PRD/TRD execution from requirements to production
- Break down complex initiatives into executable engineering plans
- Ensure on-time delivery of AI-powered features and workflows
- Manage cross-team dependencies, risks, and bottlenecks
- Track progress, quality metrics, and delivery outcomes
Platform, AI & Product Systems
- Oversee and contribute to development of AI pipelines (text-to-video, audio, avatars, analytics, automation, LLM workflows)
- Build and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
- Design and optimize data pipelines, storage, and retrieval systems
- Ensure reliability, latency, and cost-efficiency of AI workloads
- Lead integrations with third-party AI, cloud, and media providers
- Establish standards for MLOps and production AI systems
Quality, Security & Operations
- Establish CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and quality gates
- Define and enforce coding, documentation, and review standards
- Maintain production stability, observability, and incident response
- Ensure security, data privacy, and compliance standards
- Manage cloud infrastructure, cost optimization, and resource planning
- Improve DevOps, monitoring, and release management maturity
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Business Enablement
- Partner closely with Product, Design, AI Research, Sales, and GTM teams
- Translate business goals, monetization strategies, and customer needs into technical roadmaps
- Support customer pilots, beta users, and enterprise clients
- Provide regular progress, risk, and roadmap updates to leadership
- Contribute to technical due diligence, partnerships, and investor discussions when required
Requirements
Experience
- 6–12+ years of experience in software engineering
- 2+ years in Engineering Manager / Tech Lead / Staff Engineer roles
- Proven experience leading teams of 3–10+ engineers
- Hands-on experience delivering SaaS, AI, or platform products to production
- Experience working in fast-growing startup environments
Technical Skills
- Strong backend development background (Python / React.js / Go)
- Solid frontend exposure (React.js preferred)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / GCP preferred)
- Microservices, REST/GraphQL APIs, distributed systems
- Databases: PostgreSQL / MySQL / MongoDB / Redis / Vector DBs
- CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes (preferred)
- Experience with LLMs, Generative AI, media/video pipelines, or MLOps is a strong plus
Leadership & Mindset
- Strong people management, mentoring, and communication skills
- Builder mindset with high ownership and accountability
- Ability to balance speed, quality, scalability, and cost
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-changing environments
- Passion for building products that creators love
Good to Have
- Experience building creator, media, or content platforms
- Experience scaling products from MVP to growth stage
- Prior experience setting up India R&D teams
- Experience mentoring fresh graduates and early-career engineers
- Exposure to partnerships or enterprise deployments
