Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Software Engineer role based in Bengaluru. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that power the rental homes platform, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing clean and efficient code, participating in code reviews, writing unit and integration tests, and collaborating with product, design, and data teams to deliver new features. The role involves troubleshooting production issues, optimizing existing components, and contributing to architectural decisions and technical documentation. The Software Engineer will work closely with other engineers to continuously improve development practices and overall system quality.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture concepts.
- Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming, with proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, Python, Go, or similar).
- Practical expertise in Back-End Web Development, including building RESTful or GraphQL APIs and integrating with databases.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices for designing maintainable and scalable systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, version control systems (e.g., Git), and cloud environments or containerization is beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team, communicate clearly, and take ownership of features from design through deployment.
- Familiarity with modern development workflows, testing frameworks, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools is an advantage.
