We’re hiring a Software Engineer, Product Infrastructure to build and maintain the core systems that power Nucleus AI products. This role is focused on the infrastructure beneath the product experience: backend services, deployment systems, reliability foundations, and the shared platforms that allow teams to ship quickly without compromising quality.
You will work across service architecture, production operations, and internal platform capabilities—helping ensure that our products are stable, secure, and ready to scale.
What you’ll do- Build and maintain core infrastructure and backend services that support Nucleus AI products in production.
- Improve deployment systems, developer workflows, and service foundations that help product teams move faster with confidence.
- Strengthen reliability, observability, and operational tooling across product-facing infrastructure.
- Design and evolve shared systems for service communication, configuration, secrets management, and production readiness.
- Partner closely with product engineers, frontend teams, and platform teams to support new launches and ongoing scale.
- Contribute to incident response, root cause analysis, and long-term reliability improvements across core systems.
- Help define infrastructure standards and best practices around availability, security, and maintainability.
- Build internal tooling and automation that reduce operational overhead and improve engineering leverage.
What we’re looking for- Strong experience building production backend systems, infrastructure platforms, or reliability-oriented software.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, containers, CI/CD systems, and modern service deployment practices.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, logging, and incident management in distributed systems.
- Strong programming skills in one or more backend languages such as Go, Python, Java, Rust, or similar.
- Comfort working across product and infrastructure boundaries, with an eye for practical tradeoffs.
- Solid understanding of service architecture, scalability, and operational excellence.
- A builder’s mindset: able to improve foundations while supporting fast-moving product teams.
- Interest in AI products and the infrastructure challenges that come with serving intelligent systems at scale.
