Nucleus is hiring a Software Engineer, Privacy to build privacy-preserving systems, data handling controls, and internal tooling that help us uphold our privacy commitments across products and infrastructure. You will work across engineering, legal, security, and product teams to embed privacy into how data is collected, processed, stored, and governed.
In this role, you will
- Build systems and controls that support privacy-safe data handling across product and platform surfaces.
- Implement privacy-preserving workflows for collection, storage, retention, deletion, and access.
- Create internal tooling that improves visibility into data usage and privacy risk.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate privacy requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Contribute to privacy-by-design patterns that scale across Nucleus engineering.
You may be a good fit if you have
- Strong backend or infrastructure engineering experience.
- Familiarity with privacy engineering concepts such as minimization, retention, deletion, access controls, or consent-aware systems.
- Experience working on data platforms, internal tooling, or security/privacy controls.
- Strong communication skills and an ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
