Summary
We are looking for a Software Engineer Intern with strong expertise in Java backend development and working knowledge of React. This role involves building and scaling real world systems with a focus on backend architecture, real time communication, and third party integrations.
Success in this role means being able to independently contribute to backend services, implement reliable integrations using webhooks and APIs, and support frontend functionality where required. The intern will work closely with the development team and play a key role in building and improving production level systems.
This role is an integral part of the engineering team and contributes directly to the development of scalable, high performance applications.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain backend services using Java and frameworks such as Spring Boot
Design and implement REST APIs to support frontend and external integrations
Build real time features using WebSockets for live data communication
Implement and manage webhooks for event driven integrations with third party systems
Integrate external APIs such as payment gateways, messaging platforms, and CRM tools
Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration with React applications
Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and bugs in the system
Write clean, maintainable, and well documented code
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving development standards
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Java and backend development concepts
Understanding of WebSockets and real time systems
Experience with webhooks and API based integrations
Familiarity with React.js and frontend integration
Knowledge of RESTful API design principles
Basic understanding of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Education
B-tech CSE Third year and final year students, or recent graduates in Computer Science or related fields.
Good to Have
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
Knowledge of Docker and container based deployments
Understanding of microservices architecture
Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
