About TradeSymmetry
We build high-performance quantitative trading systems, risk management tools, and automated workflows designed for prop firm traders. We are currently developing a specialized Chrome extension to provide real-time risk violation alerts and AI-driven portfolio analysis by directly interfacing with live web trading terminals.
The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Software Engineering Intern to assist in the development of our core Chrome extension. You will work closely with an experienced architectural engineer to build low-latency web tools that extract, parse, and analyze live market data from platforms like MT5 and TradeLocker.
This is a hands-on role where you will tackle complex DOM manipulation, state management, and API integrations, helping build tools that directly impact live trading execution and risk management.
Key Responsibilities
- Extension Development: Assist in building and maintaining a fast, secure Chrome extension using JavaScript/TypeScript.
- DOM Manipulation & Data Parsing: Write robust scripts to read and extract real-time data from web-based trading terminals without impacting terminal performance.
- AI Integration: Help connect the extension to backend AI APIs for real-time portfolio analysis and risk profiling.
- Optimization: Ensure the extension operates with minimal latency, critical for live trading environments.
- Collaboration: Participate in code reviews, architectural planning, and debugging sessions.
Requirements
- Strong foundational knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience or strong interest in building browser extensions.
- Understanding of advanced DOM manipulation and handling dynamic web pages (MutationObservers, event listeners).
- Familiarity with consuming REST APIs and handling async data streams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex client-side code.
Bonus Points (Not Required, but a huge plus)
- Interest in financial markets, forex, or prop firm trading.
- Familiarity with TradingView, Pine Script, or algorithmic trading concepts.
- Exposure to systems programming (Rust) or AI agent workflows.
Compensation & Perks
- Stipend: ₹[15,000 - 30,000] per month, commensurate with experience and skill level.
