Role Description The Software Engineer Intern role is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune City. The intern will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining software components that support NuageSEC’s cybersecurity services, with a focus on back-end development and automation. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and efficient code, debugging and troubleshooting issues, implementing features under the guidance of senior engineers, and contributing to internal tools that enhance security assessments and reporting. The role also involves collaborating with the cybersecurity and engineering teams, participating in code reviews, documenting technical work, and learning best practices in secure software development. This internship offers hands-on experience in a professional environment where interns can expand their technical skills and understanding of modern security challenges.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and operating systems concepts.
- Skills in Software Development and Programming, with proficiency in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript).
- Experience or coursework in Back-End Web Development, including working with APIs, databases, and server-side frameworks.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and ability to apply them in real-world projects.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Interest in cybersecurity, secure coding practices, and learning industry standards and frameworks.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work in a diverse, collaborative team setting.
