Company Description
Khandelwal Busar Industries is a trusted manufacturer of high-quality components and assemblies for diverse sectors, including passenger cars, commercial vehicles, tractors, earthmovers, defense systems, and white goods.
We’re also building software that actually runs on factory floors — not dashboards for presentations. Our systems connect to real machines, process live IoT data, and are used by operators in production environments.
It’s a small team, we move fast, and most of the work is figuring things out rather than following instructions.
Role Description
You’ll be working on a Python/Flask + JavaScript codebase that talks to machines over MQTT and runs on Google Cloud.
A lot of the work is not “build feature X from scratch,” but understanding an existing system, improving it, fixing edge cases, and making sure things don’t break in production.
You’ll ship code that people actually depend on from Day 1.
Qualifications
* Final year student from a tier 1 university.
* You’re comfortable with Python (Flask or similar) and have built something real
* You can work with JavaScript / HTML / CSS without struggling
* You don’t get stuck when reading someone else’s code
* You’ve used Git properly (not just basic commits)
* You can work without constant direction
Things that help (but not mandatory)
* Any exposure to IoT, MQTT, or real-time systems
* Experience with Google Cloud
* You’ve debugged something that broke in production
* You’ve used tools like Copilot/Cursor thoughtfully, not blindly
What this is not
* Not a guided internship with step-by-step tasks
* Not a place where you’ll only build dummy features
* Not ideal if you need constant hand-holding
⸻
What you’ll get
* Real ownership
* Real systems
* A steep learning curve (if you’re up for it)
