About the Role
GTPL is looking for enthusiastic and passionate Software Engineer Interns to join our engineering team. This internship offers hands-on experience in building real-world software applications while working alongside experienced developers.
As a Software Engineer Intern, you will contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software solutions, with a primary focus on backend development using Python. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical industry experience, enhance your technical skills, and work in an agile development environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain software components.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
- Assist in backend web application development.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in code reviews and implement feedback.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on feature development.
- Document technical processes and development activities.
- Participate in team meetings, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.
- Learn and apply software engineering best practices.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's degree (BE/B.Tech/BCA/MCA) or currently pursuing a relevant degree.
- Good knowledge of Python.
- Basic understanding of Django or Flask (preferred).
- Familiarity with REST APIs.
- Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Basic understanding of Git/GitHub.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
- Personal or academic projects in Python.
- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms or Docker is a plus.
