About The Role
We are looking for a Software Engineer III (Backend) with strong experience in Node.js, API development, event-driven architecture, and database design. You will build scalable backend services, integrate with internal and external systems, and contribute to the architecture of distributed applications. Basic knowledge of React is desirable for collaborating with frontend teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Build and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Integrate with internal and third-party services.
- Design and implement event-driven solutions using technologies such as Kafka, SQS, or EventBridge.
- Design and optimize SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Participate in architecture, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
- Mentor engineers and promote engineering best practices.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Experience building REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Experience with API integrations and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, etc.).
- Experience with Git, testing, and CI/CD practices.
- Basic knowledge of React and modern frontend development.
- Solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.
