This role is an exciting opportunity for an early-career data engineering professional to contribute to the delivery and maintenance of large-scale client-facing healthcare applications in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will play a key role in transforming, validating, and integrating complex datasets while ensuring high standards of accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency. The position combines data operations, backend support, deployment coordination, and process improvement initiatives across multiple environments and platforms. Working closely with product, engineering, and client-facing teams, you will help optimize data workflows and support scalable, data-driven solutions. Accountabilities
- Prepare, transform, and structure client-specific datasets according to technical and regulatory requirements.
- Design, maintain, and optimize baseline and customized messaging datasets, metadata structures, and content configurations.
- Integrate and process data from multiple third-party sources while applying transformation rules and business logic.
- Support data deployments across Development, UAT, and Production environments using controlled release and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with application development, product, front-end, and engagement teams to ensure data quality and compatibility with platform requirements.
- Maintain and document data pipelines, transformation logic, operational procedures, and reusable process documentation.
- Participate in operational meetings, defect tracking, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives related to data workflows.
- Monitor data quality metrics, validation checks, reconciliation processes, and operational KPIs to ensure accuracy and performance.
- Support integrations involving Salesforce, ETL workflows, backend systems, and cloud-based data operations.
- Contribute to scalable and reusable data models, automation efforts, and future product enhancements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in data engineering, data operations, ETL/integration, data analysis, or application support roles.
- Strong SQL expertise, including complex queries, stored procedures, and data validation logic.
- Hands-on experience with relational databases, preferably SQL Server.
- Familiarity with backend technologies, scripting, or data transformation tools using SQL, .NET, C#, or similar technologies.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and sprint-based software delivery environments.
- Experience working across multiple environments such as Development, UAT, and Production.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Team Foundation Server, Octopus Deploy, or similar deployment and collaboration tools.
- Basic understanding of HTML structures and front-end data rendering concepts.
- Knowledge of CI/CD concepts and automated deployment workflows for data pipelines.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as Boomi, SSIS, or related integration platforms is a plus.
- Exposure to Salesforce or Veeva CRM data models is advantageous.
- Understanding of healthcare, market access, or healthcare data standards such as HL7/FHIR is considered a strong plus.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in remote, cross-functional, and globally distributed teams.
- Comfortable working remotely in a 12 PM to 9 PM IST shift schedule.
