We are an aerospace startup building unmanned aircraft systems for logistics, delivery, and emerging applications. We design, build, and fly our own aircraft. Our work spans the full stack: aerodynamic design, composite structures, flight software, and ground systems.
What You'll Work On
- Deep protocol engineering work
- Building a custom C++/Qt desktop application for mission planning, real-time vehicle state visualisation, command dispatch, and operational logging
- Real-time data pipeline design for high-frequency telemetry ingestion and state machine management
- Simulation and replay tooling for the ability to replay a full mission from logs for debugging and regression testing
- Multi-vehicle coordination interfaces, BVLOS operational tooling, and integration with the autonomy and flight control stack
Tech Stack
- C++ (17/20) for the core GCS application
- The existing open-source codebase is Qt-based; you will extend it significantly rather
- Protocol layer: custom binary protocol implementation over serial and UDP/IP links
- Python for tooling, log analysis, CI scripting, and rapid prototyping of new features
- Build tooling: CMake; cross-platform builds targeting Linux and Windows
- Version control: Git; comfortable working in and navigating a large existing C++ codebase
- Requirements
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, including clean architecture, testable systems, production-grade reliability, not just working prototypes
- Proficient in C++ and comfortable working in a large open-source codebase
- Comfort with low-level protocol design and binary serialisation
Drone or UAV experience is a bonus, not a requirement
2–5 years of strong software experience is preferred; exceptional fresh graduates with relevant project work are considered
