Role: Frontend Engineer

About the Role:
We’re looking for a Frontend Engineer to lead the development of our digital Measurement, Reporting & Verification (dMRV) SaaS platform. This role is central to building intuitive, performant, and scalable interfaces that drive transparency, trust, and efficiency in carbon project execution. You’ll work closely with product, design, and backend teams to shape user experiences for carbon developers, field teams, and buyers.
Responsibilities
- Own architecture and implementation of frontend systems across Varaha’s dMRV platform.
- Develop scalable, responsive, and modular interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
- Translate complex datasets and carbon methodologies into intuitive visual dashboards and workflows.
- Integrate seamlessly with backend APIs (FastAPI/Django) and ensure a smooth data experience.
- Implement best practices in code structure, testing, state management, and UI performance.
- Collaborate across design and backend to iterate quickly and ship impactful features.
Skills & Requirements:
- 3+ years of frontend development experience in a fast-paced product environment.
- Strong proficiency in React, TypeScript, Next.js, and modern UI architectures.
- Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, etc.).
- Comfort working with RESTful APIs, authentication flows, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with data visualization libraries (e.g., Recharts, D3.js) and component design systems.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and ownership mindset.
Bonus Points If You have:
- Experience with geospatial data or mapping libraries (e.g., Mapbox, Leaflet).
- Understanding of climate tech, carbon markets, or sustainability-focused products.
- Prior experience in SaaS platforms, enterprise dashboards, or admin panels.
- Exposure to backend systems and API schema design.
