Job details:
At Nucleus, shipping software well is a core engineering capability. We’re hiring a Software Engineer, Delivery & CI/CD to own the build, test, and deployment pipelines that help Nucleus ship software safely and quickly. This role is focused on the systems and tooling behind software delivery: the workflows that turn code into production systems with speed, reliability, and confidence.
You will work closely with engineers across research, product, and infrastructure to improve the developer experience of shipping - reducing friction, increasing trust in automation, and helping teams move from idea to deployment with less overhead.
What you’ll do- Design, build, and operate CI/CD systems that support software delivery across Nucleus products and infrastructure.
- Improve build pipelines, test orchestration, release workflows, and deployment automation.
- Partner with engineering teams to make software delivery faster, safer, and more observable.
- Build internal tooling for release management, rollback workflows, environment promotion, and deployment health checks.
- Strengthen pipeline reliability, debuggability, and security across the delivery stack.
- Reduce build and test times through better caching, parallelization, and workflow design.
- Help define standards for release quality, automation coverage, and deployment best practices.
- Support incident response and root cause analysis related to build and deployment failures.
What we’re looking for- Strong experience building or operating CI/CD platforms, internal developer tooling, or release systems.
- Familiarity with modern build systems, test automation, and deployment workflows.
- Experience with tools such as GitHub Actions, Buildkite, Jenkins, ArgoCD, or equivalent systems.
- Solid software engineering skills in languages such as Go, Python, or TypeScript.
- Understanding of containers, cloud infrastructure, and service deployment patterns.
- A strong sense for operational reliability and the practical realities of shipping production software.
- Ability to work across teams and improve workflows used by a broad engineering organization.
- Interest in building the systems that make engineering velocity sustainable.
Why NucleusNucleus is building ambitious AI systems, and the quality of our delivery infrastructure shapes how quickly and safely those systems reach the world.
In this role, you’ll work on one of the highest-leverage parts of the engineering stack: the machinery that helps every team test, release, and deploy with confidence. Your work will have direct impact on product velocity, reliability, and engineering effectiveness across the company.
If you care about great tooling, trustworthy automation, and the craft of helping teams ship better software, we’d love to hear from you.
