About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer (C#, .NET / Industrial Automation) to design, develop, and maintain Level 2 Automation Systems for industrial and manufacturing plants. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in C#, .NET, SQL databases, and enterprise application development, with exposure to industrial automation systems being an added advantage.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Level 2 Automation Systems for industrial and manufacturing plants.
- Develop applications for process monitoring, production tracking, reporting, alarm management, data logging, and process optimisation.
- Build enterprise-grade applications using C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core, ASP.NET, Windows Services, and REST APIs.
- Develop communication interfaces between PLCs, SCADA systems, MES, ERP, Laboratory Systems, Continuous Casters, and other industrial equipment.
- Design, optimise, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle databases, including stored procedures, triggers, and schema design.
- Develop real-time data acquisition, processing, and integration modules.
- Participate in software architecture, design reviews, and performance optimisation.
- Perform testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Support onsite commissioning, deployment, and system integration activities.
- Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and user manuals.
- Work closely with automation engineers, project managers, and plant teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Follow coding standards and software development best practices.
Required Qualifications
- B.Tech / B.E. in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in C#/.NET development.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle.
- Experience developing enterprise applications.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Candidates with industrial/manufacturing domain experience will be preferred.
- Candidates with 1+ years of experience and strong industrial automation exposure may also be considered.

- If you're not currently based in Delhi or Kolkata, would you be willing to relocate? If yes, which location would you prefer—South Delhi or Kolkata?
- Plant sites are often located in industrial areas, and commissioning assignments may require staying onsite for 4–6 weeks. Are you comfortable with this travel requirement?
