Skills And Competencies
- 3–5 years of professional software engineering experience in a backend or systems-oriented role
- Proficiency in C#/.NET for backend services and APIs
- Strong understanding of backend system design and object-oriented programming principles
- Experience with cloud-native development, with AWS preferred
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices
- Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and observability tools
- Collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting scalable backend services that power Moody’s SaaS platforms.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services supporting Moody’s SaaS products
- Develop, test, and maintain backend services using C#/.NET
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and maintainable code
- Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering practices
- Troubleshoot and resolve production and pre-production issues
- Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing
- Stay current with modern development practices, tools, and technologies
- Support the design and operation of scalable, multi-tenant SaaS systems
About The Team
The Platform Engineering team within Insurance Solutions builds the core services and infrastructure that power Moody’s SaaS products. The team focuses on enabling scalability, reliability, and faster product delivery, providing a strong technical foundation that supports innovation and growth across the organization.
For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is Rs1,823,100.00 - Rs3,053,700.00, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role may be eligible for a completion bonus. Moody’s also offers insurance and a discounted employee stock purchase plan for limited duration employees.
