We are looking for an experienced Windchill Developer.
Experience: 5–10 Years
Location: PAN India
🔧 Key Responsibilities
- Work on daily Windchill development tasks aligned with business requirements
- Implement and enhance Windchill customizations as per design specifications
- Collaborate with Architects and report progress on assigned development activities
- Fix defects reported by QA/Product Owners in a timely manner
- Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (standups, planning, retrospectives)
- Understand and work with the Windchill data model to support new feature design
- Develop high-quality, scalable, and reliable code using Core Java, J2EE, JavaScript, Hibernate
- Write and execute unit tests; support QA with automated test cases
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance
- Continuously learn new technologies and propose innovative development approaches
✅ Mandatory Skills
- 5–8+ years of hands-on Windchill customization experience
- Strong experience with:
- Windchill Data Utilities
- Form Validators
- Soft Typing (Type & Attribute Manager)
- Windchill Loader Mechanism
- ACLs, Workflows & Lifecycle configuration
- JDBC & Query Spec best practices
- Solid understanding of Windchill JavaDoc, APIs, and supported methods
- Experience in Windchill REST APIs & OData layer
- Strong Core Java fundamentals (collections, data structures, performance tuning)
- Database experience: MS SQL or Oracle (latest versions preferred)
- Windchill environment installation, configuration & maintenance
- Experience with DevOps tools: GIT, JIRA
- Working knowledge of Windows & Linux
- Experience working in Agile / Scrum methodology
🌟 Good to Have
- Windchill end-to-end PLM exposure
- Data migration experience including:
- Bulk migration
- Writing migration scripts and utilities
- Experience with Windchill clustered/advanced configurations
- Prior experience handling PTC Technical Support cases
