Job Summary
Shriram General Insurance is seeking a talented Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable software applications and systems. The role involves working across the software development lifecycle, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality, reliable solutions that support business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications and systems.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to implement new features.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and issues.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security.
- Conduct code reviews and contribute to improving development standards and processes.
- Integrate APIs and third-party services as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or similar.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Experience with software development frameworks and tools.
- Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar systems.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and system integration.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Knowledge of containerization tools such as Docker.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
