Your Impact
Within an innovative team, you will work as a Software Engineer in the development of OpenText’s Community Management Services of the TradingGrid product offering. The OpenText TradingGrid service is a highly transactional and business critical 24x7x365 service that enables the reliable exchange of information between over 500,000 trading partners. The team practices agile software development including concept, design, specification, implementation, test and maintenance. As a Software Engineer you will utilize superior knowledge and experience to perform highly complex product design, systems analysis, research, maintenance, troubleshooting and other programming activities.
What The Role Offers
- Produce high quality code according to design specifications
- Develop and re-factor code for high performance & scalability
- Work independently on specialized assignments within the context of project/functional deliverables
- Work on an enterprise application in a distributed development environment
What You Need To Succeed
- 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Computer Science or related engineering degree or equivalent experience and knowledge
- Extensive experience with Java, Tomcat, Spring, Hibernate and Oracle
- Proficiency in Web technologies including Angular 2, Bootstrap, Node JS JavaScript, XML, RESTful API
- Experience with Java based aspect oriented programming techniques
- Strong / deep understanding of OO design and associated modeling tools; proven experience and bias towards building reusable components
- Strong hands-on experience with building web based enterprise applications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Positive and professional attitude
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements
Desired
- Experience with distributed and highly concurrent data grid platform technologies
- Experience with Angular JS, Maven, TeamCity and Mercurial.
- Experience with performance analysis tools, including: code profilers, performance analyzers, SQL, and NoSQL technology
- Experience working with very large databases and products which have to support thousands of users while ensuring consistent performance
- Experience working in a software development organization with a significant degree of automation: continuous integration, unit testing, load / performance testing, functional testing, certification testing
