Overview of the Role
As an Avaloq Business Specialist at HCLTech, you will play a critical role in managing and enhancing core banking operations by overseeing accounts payable processes, administering Avaloq systems, and leading product life-cycle management activities. This position is instrumental in ensuring operational efficiency, effective system administration, and the seamless delivery of software enhancements—contributing directly to the organization’s financial and technological objectives.
Detailed Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize accounts payable (AP) processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely payments to vendors.
- Administer and maintain Avaloq systems, supporting efficient and secure banking operations.
- Coordinate and execute product management initiatives, including planning, development, and go-to-market strategies for new products and system enhancements.
- Oversee extension and release management activities, ensuring smooth deployment of updates and new functionalities in Avaloq and related platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and implement best practices in financial operations and product management.
- Analyze data and generate actionable insights to support decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure adherence to compliance, risk management, and organizational policies throughout all activities.
- Provide subject matter expertise and support to internal stakeholders regarding Avaloq and accounts payable processes.
Skill Requirements
- Solid understanding of accounts payable processes, controls, and best practices.
- Proficiency and hands-on experience with Avaloq systems in a banking or financial services environment.
- Demonstrated experience in product management, including strategy, planning, development, and market launch.
- Strong knowledge of extension and release management processes for software products.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, capable of working with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and multicultural environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Other Requirements (Optional)
- Professional certifications in Avaloq, product management, or financial operations are a plus.
- Prior experience in banking technology projects or working with multinational teams is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools is desirable.
