Fullhouse is an easy-to-use entertainment app designed specifically to enrich the lives of older adults.
We have been building this mobile app over the past 1.5+ years; have received an amazing response and have just started hitting our target 30 day retention numbers with the latest cohorts.
Fullhouse is an ambitious, audacious attempt to build a product in the age-tech space, with a very big potential outcome. This segment (seniors & housewives) is growing richer & financially independent in their decisions, and yet is severely underserved. Every other community has benefitted from their own targeted social/entertainment products - Linkedin for colleagues, discord for gamers, Nextdoor for neighborhoods etc. Yet housewives & seniors in T2/3 cities are left using products originally designed for American teenagers.
We believe boredom among this segment of empty nesters & retirees is not the core problem, but actually a symptom of some missing emotions.
- Anticipation - something to look forward to daily.
- Accomplishment - finishing tasks or winning/earning something & feeling fulfilled.
- Validation - acknowledgement that they've been useful & added value in some form.
When these 3 feelings are missing - which happens structurally with this audience when kids go away and get busy with their lives or when after they retire - then the negative effects arise in the form of boredom & loneliness.
We have built a product with this philosophy in mind - it's been a long experimental journey & now we finally are seeing success; so are looking to bring on someone to join the team and eventually lead all things tech.
We have too much feedback to act upon and cool stuff to build ASAP - now that we know exactly what's required - including a multi-modal recommendation system (ML based; not algorithmic) along with unique UI frontend systems.
Role Description
Full-time, in-person role at our office in Prabhadevi, Mumbai. Such an experimental product with rapid iteration requirements cannot be built remotely - you will have to work hand-in-hand with the product and marketing teams in person. Responsibilities include everything tech.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience developing and shipping production-grade software - you understand clean architecture, security, scaling, performance, and maintainability.
- Comfort working across the stack (backend + frontend), with experience in at least one modern frontend framework, preferably Flutter.
- Experience working with SQL or NoSQL databases (schema design and query optimization)
- Up to date with latest developments in using LLM tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Codex or similar to rapidly prototype, and ship code quickly
- You lead by example and aren't afraid to do what it takes to make Fullhouse succeed
