We’re Hiring: Software Engineer Mumbai | Full-Time | On-Site

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer / Tech Lead who can blend hands-on coding with architectural thinking — someone who enjoys building clean, scalable, high-performance products that solve real industry problems.
What You’ll Do
You will help lead the technical development of Fathom’s flagship digital platforms, working closely with product, design, and delivery teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Design and build secure, scalable web and mobile applications
- Lead backend development using languages TypeScript, Node.js, Express, and PostgreSQL
- Own architecture, coding standards, performance, and reliability
- Work on cloud-native systems using cloud servers like AWS, Docker, CI/CD, APIs, and integrations etc
- Review code, mentor engineers, and promote strong engineering practices
- Translate complex maritime workflows into clean, practical digital solutions
What We’re Looking For
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, OOP, and software engineering principles
- Backend development experience with Node.js, TypeScript, Express, PostgreSQL, C, .Net, Java, HTML, R , Python etc
- Understanding of API design, database architecture, testing, and deployment
- Exposure to AWS, Azure , google etc , Docker, Terraform, Kafka, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, or similar tools
- Should be able to build LLMs, able to work with AI , And make scalable Products.
- Ability to debug, optimise, and ship reliable production-grade code
- Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
- Experience in maritime technology is a plus, but not mandatory
