Role Purpose
Support the day‑to‑day operation, stability, and continuous improvement of software applications and data platforms. The role focuses on production support, incident resolution, ticket management, and operational automation across cloud and data platforms, including Palantir Foundry.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2/L3 operational support for production applications, data pipelines, and cloud services.
- Monitor application health, data pipeline execution, and platform availability; proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Investigate and troubleshoot incidents using logs, metrics, and alerts; perform root‑cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Manage and track incidents, service requests, problems, and changes through ServiceNow or equivalent ticketing systems.
- Support Palantir Foundry operations including pipeline failures, ontology updates, access issues, and application defects.
- Implement operational fixes, configuration changes, and minor enhancements using Python, SQL, and platform tooling.
- Automate recurring operational tasks and monitoring checks to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
- Coordinate with development, platform, and vendor teams during incidents and planned changes.
- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure compliance with bp security standards, change management, and operational governance.
Technical Skills
- Python and SQL for operational troubleshooting, scripts, and minor enhancements.
- Experience supporting cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) including compute, storage, identity, and networking.
- Hands‑on experience with Palantir Foundry operations (pipelines, datasets, ontology, Workshop apps).
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, App Insights, CloudWatch, Splunk/ELK).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and release/change processes.
- Strong understanding of ITSM processes: Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Request management.
Soft Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical mindset.
- Clear communication with stakeholders during incidents and support activities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple operational issues effectively.
- Continuous improvement mindset with focus on stability and reliability.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
