Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Software Engineer at Aegis Interlink. The Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain back-end services and APIs that support secure technology integration and infrastructure solutions. Daily tasks include writing clean, efficient, and testable code, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as security specialists and infrastructure engineers. The role also involves troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, optimizing system performance, and contributing to architectural decisions that align with cybersecurity best practices. The Software Engineer will document technical solutions and participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance reliability, scalability, and security.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming, with experience in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or similar).
- Hands-on experience in Back-End Web Development, including building APIs, working with databases, and integrating services.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their practical application in production systems.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices, cybersecurity concepts, and working within secure infrastructure environments.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly, and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is beneficial.
