Software Engineer – React Native

ROLE SUMMARY
This is the starting point for mobile engineers at Game Theory — and it’s a real one. You’ll have ownership from day one: fixing bugs, testing features hands-on across iOS and Android, and making sure what ships actually works.
You’ll be part of a modern, AI-assisted engineering workflow and, over time, grow into contributing to features themselves. We’re looking for people who are hungry to learn, willing to execute, and excited about where AI is taking software engineering.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Own bug fixes for mobile features — identify the issue, implement the fix, and verify resolution across platforms.
•Handle support tickets raised by customers and flagged by the internal team.
•Test features end-to-end on iOS and Android — set up local environments, run the app, and validate behaviour across real-world scenarios.
•Work within a structured, AI-assisted testing workflow using tools like Claude Code and Cursor.
•Participate in an on-call rotation.
•Progressively take on more engineering responsibilities as your skills and confidence grow.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•0–2 years of engineering experience, or demonstrated ability through internships or personal projects.
•Familiarity with React Native or React.
•A genuine desire to learn and execute — this is the single most important quality we look for.
•Detail-oriented and comfortable with hands-on, practical work.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•Experience with Expo or any mobile app development.
•Exposure to AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor — we’ll bring you up to speed if not.
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field — though strong project work and demonstrated ability matter more.
