Software Engineer – React Native

ROLE SUMMARY
As a Software Engineer on the React Native team at Game Theory, you’ll be building the mobile experience that puts world-class sports technology in people’s hands. You’ll own features from the first design conversation to the moment they ship — and well beyond.
This is an AI-first engineering environment where Claude Code, Cursor, and MCPs are part of how you work every day. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in quality, moves with urgency, and doesn’t wait to be told what to do next.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•Build and maintain high-quality React Native applications for iOS and Android.
•Own the full feature lifecycle — from collaborating with designers to shipping to production.
•Contribute to product and feature decisions alongside the CTO and product team.
•Define quality standards by writing structured testing guides for mobile features, specifying what should be tested, how, and what edge cases matter.
•Conduct code reviews and maintain engineering standards across the mobile codebase.
•Work with Expo, Expo updates, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, consistent mobile delivery.
•Participate in an on-call rotation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
•2–5 years of mobile engineering experience.
•Strong proficiency in React Native.
•Hands-on experience with Expo and Expo updates.
•Experience with state management — Redux, Zustand, or similar.
•Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or MCPs.
•Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
•Self-motivated with a high-ownership mindset.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS•Experience with native iOS or Android modules.
•Familiarity with mobile app deployment processes for both platforms.
•Understanding of the full mobile development lifecycle.
•Strong system design skills.
•Prior experience in a startup or fast-paced environment.
