Software Development Engineer Intern
Location: Andheri West, Mumbai
Mode of Work: Remote / In-office (Mumbai)

We are looking for a Technology Intern to join the core engineering team at Mentoria and contribute to Arya, our AI-powered career guidance platform. This is not a shadow role. You will own real work, ship real code, and operate as a genuine member of a small, fast-moving team.
You will sit at the intersection of product, engineering, and AI - where ideas become features and features become experiences that guide thousands of students and professionals across India.
What You Will Actually Do
Full Stack Development
- Build and maintain features across the stack using Python (FastAPI) and React * Write clean, readable code that your team can pick up without a walkthrough
- Collaborate on architecture decisions and contribute meaningfully to sprint planning
Quality and Testing
- Execute manual and regression test cases before every release *
- Reproduce and document bugs with enough clarity that fixes happen fast *
- Own the QA cycle for the features you build.
AI-Assisted Engineering *
- Use AI development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot as part of your daily workflow
- Explore smarter ways to accelerate delivery without compromising on quality
- Blend human judgement with AI efficiency
Documentation and Support
- Maintain internal documentation, release notes, and technical guides
- Support data and content tasks that keep the product pipeline moving
Who You Are
- Studying or recently graduated in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or self-taught with a strong portfolio)
- Comfortable with Python and FastAPI, and can build and debug React components independently
- Familiar with PostgreSQL or relational databases (a strong plus)
- An active user of AI development tools in your own projects
- Someone who picks up new frameworks and patterns fast without needing a course for every step
- Clear communicator who flags blockers early and follows through on ownership
- Genuinely curious about AI products, EdTech, or the future of career development
