About WealthNest
WealthNest is building India’s first AI-powered personalized family office — a single app where
families can track, understand, and grow every aspect of their wealth. We are building for the
full picture: investments, insurance, income tax, inheritance, real estate, and everything in
between. Our vision is to be the one app an Indian family opens to make any financial decision,
supported by AI that genuinely understands their context. We are currently in beta, at the start
of a long journey.
About the Role
We are looking for an SDET to own quality across our stack — a Flutter app shipping to iOS,
Android, and web, and a Python backend running FastAPI services with Redis and PostgreSQL.
You will define our automation strategy, build the test infrastructure from the ground up, and
integrate quality gates into CI/CD so we can release with confidence on a weekly cadence. As a
regulated fintech handling sensitive financial data, quality and reliability are central to everything
we ship.
What you’ll do
• Own the end-to-end test automation strategy across the Flutter app (iOS, Android, web)
and the FastAPI backend
• Build and maintain mobile UI automation using a combination of Flutter integration_test,
Patrol, and Appium, selecting the appropriate tool for each surface
• Design and implement API and integration test suites for our FastAPI services, async
Redis consumers, and PostgreSQL data layer, with pytest as the preferred framework
• Build load and performance test coverage for backend services using tools such as
Locust or k6, with a focus on catching regressions before production
• Drive security testing fundamentals — OWASP Top 10 coverage, authentication and
authorization edge cases, and basic scans with ZAP or similar tools
• Integrate the test suite into GitLab CI with appropriate quality gates — coverage
thresholds, flake tracking, parallelization, and fast developer feedback
• Establish test data management, environment seeding, and reliable staging and UAT
test runs
• Partner with developers on testability, contributing to better contracts, fixtures, and unit
and integration coverage at the source
• Triage production issues, author regression tests for every bug fix, and maintain our bug
taxonomy
• Set up observability for tests — dashboards, flake reports, and coverage trends — so
quality remains a visible, shared signal across the team
What we’re looking for
• 3–7 years in QA automation or SDET roles, with at least 2 years writing production-
grade automation code
• Strong Python skills, including clean, idiomatic test code and a solid understanding of
async, fixtures, and pytest plugins
• Hands-on experience testing REST APIs, ideally with FastAPI or similar async Python
frameworks
• Mobile automation experience with at least one of Flutter integration_test, Patrol, or
Appium, and the judgment to select the right tool per scenario
• Working knowledge of PostgreSQL (test queries, data seeding, transaction isolation)
and message or queue systems such as Redis
• Solid CI/CD experience — GitLab CI preferred; GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins also
acceptable — including parallelization, caching, and matrix builds
• Strong fundamentals in test design, including risk-based testing, equivalence
partitioning, boundary analysis, and judgment on when automation adds value
• Familiarity with load and performance testing tools (Locust, k6, JMeter) and security
testing basics (OWASP Top 10, ZAP, Burp)
• Good Git hygiene and collaborative code review practices
• Proficient with modern AI development and testing tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or
similar) and able to integrate them effectively into day-to-day workflows for test design,
debugging, and code generation
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to balance pragmatism with engineering rigour
Nice to have
• Fintech, payments, or other regulated-domain testing experience
• Contract testing experience with Pact or similar frameworks
• Visual regression testing (Percy, Chromatic, Applitools)
• Test analytics and flake detection tooling (Allure, ReportPortal, custom dashboards)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or testing in containerized environments
• Exposure to chaos or fault-injection testing
• Some development background — having shipped product code in addition to test code
Why join us
• Build the QA function from the ground up, with significant influence over tooling, process,
and engineering standards
• Direct impact on a product that real Indian families will use to make meaningful financial
decisions
• Work closely with engineering, product, and design as an integrated part of the team
• Remote-hybrid setup, based in Goa or Bangalore, with occasional in-person meetings at
coworking spaces in either city
How to apply

source contributions, talks, or blog posts) to careers@wealthnest.ai. We also welcome a short
note on a production issue you helped catch or learn from, and what you changed in your
approach afterward.
