Job details:
We build financial infrastructure for Africa — collections, engagement, distribution, and agentic AI platforms that leading insurers, banks, and telcos run their business on.
Skills we need
- Strong Java/Spring Boot fundamentals — REST APIs, microservices, JPA/Hibernate
- Ability to design complex systems
- PostgreSQL and Redis working knowledge; Kafka and AWS/EKS a plus
- Comfort with production systems: debugging, monitoring, performance
- High Velocity AI-native development
- Freshers with exceptional fundamentals welcome; production internship experience valued over pedigree
The profile we look for
- High agency — you find a way, not a reason
- Problem solvers who think first and build second
- Fast learners with genuine hunger — you've built things nobody asked you to
- Hard work and self-discipline as defaults, not moods
- Team players who believe 1 + 1 = 11
- Seekers — curious about the market, the customer, and the why behind every feature
- Able to switch between the big picture and the smallest detail
How we work
- Empathy, engineered · Curiosity, over certainty · Restless, by nature · Own the outcome · Relentlessly resourceful
- Founder-led, flat, and remote-first with periodic offsites
- Insight-driven and honest — direct feedback, close to customers, decisions from evidence
- High velocity: daily deployments, production from your first weeks, complexity that grows with you
What we offer
- Competitive cash + meaningful ESOPs — real equity in a bootstrapped company
- Compensation , tied to your growth — not the calendar
- Direct exposure to founders, customers, and multple markets
- The steepest learning curve of your career
- This is intense, and that's the point. If you want to grow faster than anywhere else would let you
