MailGuard is GlobalGuard’s cloud-based email security SaaS platform. It protects everyday business communications by preventing advanced email-borne threats before they disrupt operations or compromise trust.
MailGuard combines Secure Email Gateway (SEG) and Integrated Cloud Email Security (ICES) capabilities to strengthen native protections in platforms such as Microsoft 365. Originally established in 2001, MailGuard has continuously evolved to address zero-day threats and modern social engineering attacks, helping organizations reduce risk and keep email secure and reliable.
The opportunity
As a Software Developer on MailGuard 365, you will build and improve a product that integrates deeply with Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online. You will deliver features and services that are secure by design, reliable in production, and aligned to least privilege integration patterns.
What you will do
- Contribute to delivery of MailGuard 365 roadmap items on time and to agreed acceptance criteria
- Undertake systems design and write code from specifications, following established engineering standards
- Build and maintain integrations with Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online, using Microsoft Graph APIs where appropriate
- Follow least privilege principles and approved permission models for integrations and service access
- Participate in peer review, testing, and documentation to improve release confidence
- Perform problem solving activities and resolve defects in development and production environments
- Assist Operations and Service Desk with escalations related to product behavior and customer-impacting issues
- Contribute to incident response and post-incident actions under guidance from senior engineers
- Identify opportunities to improve tooling, automation, and engineering standards
What you will bring
- 3+ years of experience developing with .NET (C#), .NET Framework
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 integration approaches, including Graph-based mail access patterns
- Experience with public cloud technologies, including Azure and or AWS
- Experience with CI/CD and automation tooling (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Working knowledge of containers and serverless technologies, including Docker and cloud functions
- Working knowledge of database and caching technologies such as MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and managed cloud databases
- Strong knowledge of web and email protocols and RFC-aligned behaviors, including SMTP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS
- Ability to communicate clearly in English in documentation, code reviews, and cross-team collaboration
Additional details
Occasional support outside regular business hours may be required for critical incidents or planned release activities.
