Role Description The Software Developer Intern will support the development and enhancement of Xplor’s mobility platform and related tools. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean, maintainable code, assisting in back-end web development tasks, debugging and resolving issues, and participating in code reviews under the guidance of senior developers. The intern will collaborate with the engineering team to implement new features, integrate APIs, and contribute to performance and security improvements. This is a full-time, on-site internship role based in Kochi, requiring close teamwork, problem-solving, and an eagerness to learn modern software development practices.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and software engineering fundamentals.
- Practical skills in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern language such as Java, C#, Python, or JavaScript.
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Back-End Web Development, including familiarity with server-side frameworks, RESTful APIs, and databases.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Ability to analyze problems, break them into smaller components, and propose logical solutions.
- Comfort working in a collaborative environment, with clear communication and openness to feedback.
- Immense passion and Interest in transportation, smart cities, or large-scale data platforms is an advantage.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and basic software testing practices is beneficial.
