Software Developer

Thesys is building the frontend infrastructure powering the next generation of AI products with Generative UI. We are a team from companies like Google, Stripe, and others, backed by $4M in seed funding from marquee VCs.
We are looking for a Software Developer with 2–5 years of experience to join our Enginering team. This role is focused on building AI-native developer products, agent workflows, SDK infrastructure, and customer-facing capabilities that help developers build, deploy, and scale AI agents faster.
You will work closely with both internal teams and customers to solve real-world agentic AI use cases, improve developer workflows, and ship production-grade infrastructure for AI-native applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, ship, and maintain core product features across frontend, backend, APIs, and SDK infrastructure.
- Design and develop scalable systems powering agent workflows, integrations, developer tooling, and AI-native experiences.
- Work directly with customers to understand their use cases, troubleshoot issues, gather feedback, and improve the product experience.
- Own features end-to-end from architecture and implementation to deployment and production monitoring.
- Write clean, scalable, maintainable, and production-ready code.
- Debug complex issues, improve performance, and ensure reliability across the platform.
- Contribute to developer experience across SDKs, APIs, tooling, documentation, and platform workflows.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to rapidly iterate and ship high-impact features.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong understanding of modern AI application architecture, including LLM workflows, tool calling, agents, prompts, and integrations.
- Strong fundamentals in software engineering, system design, APIs, and scalable application development.
- Experience with frontend technologies such as React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Familiarity with backend systems, databases, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems.
- Experience working with AI orchestration frameworks, MCPs, agents, workflows, or automation systems.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and production-quality software.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- A strong product and developer mindset — you care deeply about user experience, developer experience, and product quality.
- Thrives in fast-paced startup environments with high ownership, rapid iteration cycles, and evolving product requirements.
Bonus Points
- Experience building developer platforms, SDKs, APIs, infrastructure tooling, or DevTools products.
- Experience in early-stage startups or high-growth SaaS companies.
- Open-source contributions or strong side projects.
