About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Autodesk Platform Services (APS) Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in the AEC industry and extensive experience in developing integrated cloud and desktop-based solutions within Autodesk's ecosystem. This role involves creating innovative automation tools, enhancing collaboration workflows, and improving productivity across project lifecycles. The APS Developer will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain applications that leverage Autodesk Forge APIs and other related technologies. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to transformative projects in the AEC sector, utilizing your technical expertise to shape the future of digital construction and design processes.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a combination of technical skills and industry experience, including:
- A minimum of 2+ years of development experience within the AEC automation domain.
- At least 1+ year of hands-on experience with Autodesk Platform Services (APS/Forge) APIs.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C#/.NET, ASP.NET, and Python.
- Experience developing plugins using the Revit API, including creating custom UI elements.
- Strong understanding of WPF and MVVM architecture for developing desktop application interfaces.
- Knowledge of BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) APIs and cloud-based workflows.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, OAuth 2.0 authentication protocols, and web technologies.
- Experience working with Git version control systems and GitHub workflows, including issues, pull requests, and branching strategies.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of technical and collaborative tasks, including:
- Developing and maintaining cloud-based applications utilizing Autodesk Forge APIs such as Model Derivative, Data Management, Viewer, and Design Automation.
- Designing and implementing custom integrations between Autodesk tools like Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM 360/ACC to streamline project workflows.
- Automating repetitive AEC processes such as model conversion, data extraction, clash detection, and document generation to improve operational efficiency.
- Collaborating with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Participating in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Staying updated with the latest advancements in Autodesk technologies and industry best practices to continuously enhance application capabilities.
