About The Role
We are seeking a talented Software Developer specializing in Ruby on Rails (RoR) to join our dynamic team in Hyderabad. This full-time position offers a hybrid work environment, allowing flexibility while maintaining collaborative engagement with the team. As a Software Developer at 247Hire, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and testing innovative software solutions that support our expanding API and data product offerings. Your work will directly impact the development of new products, tooling support, and automated testing frameworks, ensuring our solutions remain robust, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, business analysts, and technical SMEs, to translate business needs into effective technical solutions. Qualifications
- Experience with functional programming languages such as Elixir, alongside expertise in Ruby on Rails and other systems running on the latest versions.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven full-stack web development experience, including building complete, data-backed products.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture.
- Proficiency in using Git effectively within a team environment for version control and collaboration.
- Experience working with Docker containers to streamline development and deployment processes.
- Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to deploy, manage, and scale applications in cloud environments.
- Ability to collaborate with business and technical subject matter experts to understand requirements and propose suitable technical solutions.
- Strong capability to interpret business needs and translate them into technical specifications and implementations.
- Adaptability to new technologies and continuous learning to keep skills current.
- Excellent teamwork, communication skills, and empathy for users, teammates, and stakeholders.
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, implementation, integration, testing, debugging, and support.
- Willingness to assume leadership responsibilities related to product development, design patterns, or testing coverage.
- Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) or a strong commitment to comprehensive test coverage using modern testing methodologies.
- A mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities
The Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing high-quality code to enhance and expand our software solutions. Additionally, you will take ownership of certain products or components, providing leadership in areas such as design patterns, test coverage, and performance optimization. Your role will also involve troubleshooting and debugging issues, providing ongoing support, and continuously seeking opportunities to improve the development process and product performance.
