Project Overview
We are looking for a skilled Software Developer for a 2-month project-based contract to design and develop a Tally Connector that enables real-time data synchronization between Tally and our API.
The connector will act as a bridge between Tally and our API, supporting reliable two-way data synchronization while ensuring data accuracy, stability, and error handling.
Key Requirements
Strong proficiency in Go (Golang)
Good hands-on experience with Python
Experience with Python Tkinter for desktop application development
Good knowledge of JavaScript
Experience in system/desktop software development
Strong understanding of REST API integration
Knowledge of JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, and authentication
Experience with data synchronization and data mapping
Understanding of error handling, logging, and retry mechanisms
Familiarity with Git/GitHub
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop the Tally Connector from scratch
Implement real-time Tally → API data synchronization
Implement real-time API → Tally data synchronization
Develop the required desktop application/interface using Python Tkinter
Implement background processes/services for continuous synchronization
Handle API failures, retries, duplicate records, and synchronization errors
Implement comprehensive logging for monitoring and troubleshooting
Test the connector across different Tally data scenarios
Identify and resolve integration and synchronization issues
Ensure the application is stable, reliable, and production-ready
Deliver the complete solution within the defined project timeline
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience in the following areas will be preferred
Previous experience with Tally/TallyPrime integration
Development of Windows-based desktop applications or system software
Building background services/processes
Real-time or near-real-time data synchronization
Integration of accounting/ERP software with REST APIs

Contract Type: Project-Based Contract
Duration: 2 Months
Work Mode: Work From Office (WFO) only
Expected Project Completion: 1–2 months
Joining: Immediate / Short Notice Preferred
Extension: May be considered separately for maintenance or additional development work
