Position Overview
We are looking for a Software Business Analyst to join our Agile product team and help shape, refine, and deliver a high-quality SaaS product.
The candidate must be based in Kolkata or a nearby location, as this is an on-site position.
You will work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, Engineers, and Stakeholders in a fast-paced Agile environment, contributing throughout the product lifecycle—from discovery and backlog refinement to release and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Requirement Ownership
- Partner with Product Managers to translate product vision and business goals into clear, testable requirements
- Elicit requirements using interviews, workshops, user research, and data analysis
- Define user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and functional specifications aligned with Agile best practices
Agile Delivery Support
- Actively participate in Agile events (backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives)
- Serve as the primary clarification point for development teams during sprints
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams
- Clearly communicate trade-offs, dependencies, and impacts of product decisions
- Align cross-functional teams on scope, priorities, and outcomes
Validation & Quality
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining test scenarios and validating delivered functionality
- Ensure solutions meet business needs, usability standards, and non-functional requirements
- Identify gaps, edge cases, and risks early in the development cycle
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Business Analyst in a software or SaaS product environment.
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and experience with software development concepts and technologies.
Nice to Have
- Experience working with Enterprise SaaS products
- Exposure to UX/UI collaboration and design thinking practices
- Familiarity with data analytics, BI tools, or SQL
- Experience in CPG, FinTech, Supply Chain, or Revenue Management domains
- Understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies and product-centric development
- Business Analysis certifications (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) or Agile certifications (PSM, PSPO)
