Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Software Tester to join our QA team, responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of applications through effective manual testing. The candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to validate system functionality, identify defects, and ensure a seamless user experience before deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze system specifications and business requirements
- Design, create, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios
- Perform manual testing to validate application functionality and usability
- Identify, log, and track defects using defect management tools
- Execute SQL queries to validate data accuracy and integrity across multiple tables
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Prepare test plans, test summary reports, and documentation
- Participate in peer reviews of test cases and QA processes
- Support post-release testing and production deployments
- Ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices throughout the SDLC
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC) and QA methodologies
- Hands-on experience in manual testing
- Proficiency in writing and executing SQL queries
- Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla)
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Good to Have:
- Basic knowledge of automation testing tools such as Selenium
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
