Our client seeking an exceptional Software Architect to lead the transformation of our legacy Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) across our global supply chain operations. This role will architect and drive the implementation of next-generation logistics platforms that support our semiconductor manufacturing and distribution operations across inter-continental, multi-channel product distribution centres (Warehouses).
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Strategy
- Architect end-to-end supply chain platform solutions deployed across inter-continental, multi-channel warehouses enabling robust, scalable, and sustainable worldwide operations
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation roadmap for enterprise WMS platforms (Manhattan Associates, Blue Yonder, SAP, Oracle WMS)
- Design distributed, microservices-based architectures capable of processing 500,000+ orders per day with 99.9%+ uptime
- Architect integrations with complex warehouse automation systems including ASRS (Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems), conveyor systems, sortation equipment, and robotics
Platform Development & Integration
- Own and deliver comprehensive Warehouse Management capabilities including Inbound, Fulfilment, Order Management, Picking, Packing, and Shipping.
- Integrate end-to-end inventory order-to-cash processes including allocation and consignment in multi-channel environments.
Technical Leadership
- Lead architecture design reviews, technical specifications, and solution documentation
- Drive test automation frameworks and test-driven development (TDD) methodologies
Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with strategic business partners and stakeholders to set priorities and roadmaps aligned with business goals
- Mentor and develop engineering teams, nurturing a high-performing organization
Required qualifications
- 8-10 years of hands-on experience in building and scaling supply chain, logistics, or warehouse management platforms
- 5+ years architecting and developing enterprise WMS solutions (Manhattan Associates, Blue Yonder, Körber, SAP, Oracle WMS, or similar)
- Proven track record of managing platforms processing 100,000+ daily orders/shipments with high availability requirements
- Individual Contributor Focus – Spend ≥ 70 % of time writing production grade code (feature development) while still providing architectural guidance and mentorship.
- Able to design and develop a full‑stack, enterprise‑grade application from scratch
Technical Skills
- Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, React
- Architectures: Microservices, SOA, Event-Driven, Serverless, Multi-tier
- Cloud Platforms: AWS (EC2, Lambda, SQS, SNS, EBS), Azure, or GCP with auto-scaling and serverless capabilities
- Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, Yuga byte, MS SQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch, Oracle
- Integration: REST APIs, OData, BAPI, Proxies, EDI, Real-time streaming
- DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), infrastructure as code
- AI/ML: Experience with ML/DL based optimization algorithms , Agentic AI frameworks.
- Warehouse Systems: WMS, WCS, WES, MES integration, track & trace, RFID/barcode systems
