Role Description
8-12 years of overall IT experience with 5+ years of hands on experience in Microsoft Power Platform, including leading enterprise scale implementations
Role Summary
The Power Platform Lead is responsible for technical leadership, solution design, governance, and delivery oversight of Microsoft Power Platform initiatives. The role ensures scalable, secure, and compliant solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse, while mentoring teams and collaborating with enterprise stakeholders across business and IT.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Technical Leadership
- Lead end to end solution design and delivery for Power Platform implementations
- Define architecture for Canvas Apps, Model Driven Apps, Dataverse, and Power Automate solutions
- Ensure OOB first and low code best practices with controlled customizations
- Provide technical guidance and design reviews for complex Power Platform solutions
Governance, Security & ALM
- Define and enforce Power Platform governance model (environments, DLP policies, security roles)
- Establish ALM and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / GitHub
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, data protection, and audit requirements
- Support platform governance aligned with federated hub / CoE models
Power Platform Development
- Design and build enterprise grade Power Apps (Canvas & Model Driven)
- Develop complex Power Automate flows (cloud flows, approvals, integrations)
- Design Power BI dashboards and datasets integrated with Dataverse (as required)
- Integrate Power Platform with D365 CRM/F&O, Azure services, Microsoft 365, and external systems
Delivery & Stakeholder Management
- Lead onshore-offshore delivery teams and manage technical dependencies
- Work with business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
- Support pre sales, estimations, solution demos, and RFP responses
- Track delivery health, risks, and quality metrics
Mentoring & Practice Contribution
- Mentor and upskill Power Platform developers and consultants
- Define reusable components, accelerators, and best practices
- Stay current with Microsoft Power Platform roadmap and release waves
Mandatory Skills
- Power Apps (Canvas, Model Driven, Dataverse)
- Power Automate (cloud flows, approvals, integrations)
- Power Platform Governance & ALM
- Integration with Dynamics 365 CRM / F&O
- Azure services (Logic Apps, Functions, Service Bus - integration context)
Strong understanding of security, DLP, and environment strategy
