<strong>Senior ISSO</strong><br><strong> Location: 12th Street SW Washington DC</strong><br><strong> Work authorization: US Citizen</strong><br><br> <strong>Overview</strong><br> We are seeking a <strong>Senior ISSO</strong> to support enterprise security operations, continuous monitoring, and incident response. This role requires deep expertise in federal cybersecurity frameworks and hands-on experience with modern security tools and cloud environments.<br><br><strong> Key Responsibilities</strong><br> Conduct ongoing security assessments aligned with <strong>NIST, FISMA, and CISA</strong> guidelines<br> Engineer and maintain secure systems and infrastructure<br> Implement and troubleshoot security solutions across <strong>LAN, Azure, and wireless environments</strong><br> Manage and optimize security tools including SIEM, Syslog, NDR, EDR, Firewalls, M365 Security, and CDM<br> Perform continuous monitoring, threat hunting, and log analysis<br> Lead incident response activities and develop incident handling procedures</div><ul>
<li>Build and enhance <strong>security orchestration and automation (SOAR)</strong> capabilities</li>
<li>Collaborate with CISO and stakeholders to improve cybersecurity and privacy posture</li>
<li>Develop detection and response policies to improve automation</li>
<li>Produce security metrics, reports, and documentation</li>
<li>Maintain SOPs and security operations documentation</li>

<br><br><strong> Qualifications</strong><br> Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)<br> 7+ years of cybersecurity operations experience</div><ul>
<li>Strong knowledge of <strong>NIST, FISMA, and federal security frameworks</strong>
</li>
<li>Experience with Microsoft security stack (Defender, M365, Azure)</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, NDR, and incident response</li>
<li>Strong analytical and threat hunting skills</li>
</ul><div>
<br><br><strong> Preferred Certifications</strong><br>CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent</div>
