Pulp Warehouse Operator
Location: Gila Bend, AZ
Position Summary
The Pulp Warehouse Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient handling, storage, and distribution of pulp materials within the facility. This role supports mill operations by maintaining accurate inventory, operating material handling equipment, and ensuring timely delivery of pulp to production areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and store incoming pulp shipmentsOperate forklifts, clamp trucks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently
- Transport pulp materials to designated production or storage areas
- Maintain accurate inventory records and perform cycle counts
- Ensure proper labeling, organization, and rotation of pulp stock
- Monitor warehouse conditions to protect material integrity (moisture, damage, contamination)
- Load and unload trucks in compliance with safety procedures
- Communicate with production teams to meet material demand and avoid shortages
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment (5S standards)
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous warehouse or industrial experience preferred (paper mill experience a plus)
- Experience operating forklifts or clamp trucks required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, industrial environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills for inventory tracking systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on feet for extended period
Work Environment
- Industrial paper mill setting with exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery
- Indoor and outdoor work depending on warehouse layout
- May require working rotating shifts, weekends, and overtime
