Position: Sociology Expert

Type: Contract

Compensation: $60–$68/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Author technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance on sociology problems.
• Review and annotate tasks involving demographic charts, social network diagrams, and survey output.
• Produce original problem sets grounded in sociology concepts.
• Write reference solutions and apply structured quality checks.
• Work independently and asynchronously with a flexible schedule to meet deadlines.
  
  

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD in Sociology, MA in Sociology with 3+ years research, policy, or teaching experience, or BA in Sociology with 5+ years applied research, policy, or teaching experience.
• Working fluency in at least two of: social theory, stratification, demography, qualitative methods, quantitative methods.
• Comfortable with demographic charts, social network diagrams, and survey output.
• Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form.
