SOCIAL WORKER FOR PRISON CRÈCHE

LOCATIONS: *Nashik & Kalyan*
SALARY: Based on qualifications and experience as per Industry standards
ROLE:
The Social Worker will coordinate, monitor, and report on the Nanhe Kadam Prison Crèche initiative and associated psycho-social support programs for incarcerated mothers under the Compassionate Prison Project. The role focuses on promoting the emotional, mental, and physical development of children living in custodial settings, while ensuring that crèche environments remain inclusive, compassionate, safe, and non-stigmatising.
This position also strengthens family connections, develops individualised safety and care plans, and facilitates Parent Pod sessions for incarcerated mothers — both those residing with their children and those separated from them.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: Master’s degree in Social Work, Early Childhood Education, Development Studies, or related fields.
- Experience: 2-3 years in program coordination, monitoring, or working with children and families in challenging environments.
- Skills: Data collection, reporting, organisational skills, communication, knowledge of child rights and psycho-social support, proficiency in MS Office.
- Commitment to working with vulnerable populations and emoroving relationships.
