Core Responsibilities
- Guide thesis and dissertation topic refinement and research problem formulation
- Support conceptual framework and hypothesis development
- Assist with survey design, qualitative interviews, and mixed-methods research planning
- Help interpret statistical and thematic analysis results
- Provide mentorship on social science research methodologies
- Support manuscript writing, journal submission, and peer-review responses
- Improve research reproducibility and academic rigor
Qualifications
- PhD in Social Sciences (Sociology, Psychology, Economics, Political Science, Education, Public Policy, Development Studies, or related fields)
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals
- Experience supervising student research, thesis, or dissertation projects
- Familiarity with tools such as SPSS, R, Stata, Python, NVivo, Atlas.ti, or similar (preferred)
- Prior mentoring or academic supervision experience preferred
