Main Duties & Scope of the role
We’re looking for a creative and performance driven Social Media Strategist who can develop engaging content and build a strong organic social presence that drives meaningful student/university engagement and demand generation across all social platforms. This role blends writing, design, and video editing; you will create posts, reels, carousels, and video scripts that are clear, visually appealing, and aligned with StudyIn’s brand voice.
You will also shape and implement social strategy by analysing performance data, optimising campaigns, and experimenting with formats to maximise reach and lead generation. This position is ideal for someone fascinated by how content performs on social platforms. You will play a pivotal role in building StudyIn’s social presence, ensuring every post strengthens trust, engagement, and visibility with students while advancing measurable growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute social media strategies that support StudyIn’s growth objectives, with a strong focus on organic audience growth, engagement, brand visibility, and demand generation.
- Create short‑form copy and designs for content across all social channels
- Produce engaging posts, reels, carousels, and video scripts that drive student interaction
- Edit videos for social platforms, ensuring high‑quality output optimised for engagement
- Use generative AI tools to draft, refine, and optimise content efficiently
- Produce visually compelling assets using design and video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Premiere Pro)
- Monitor performance data and social trends to refine strategies and identify opportunities for growth
- Optimise all creative output for platform algorithms and viewer retention to drive measurable performance while upholding brand excellence
- Collaborate with cross‑functional departments to align social output with broader marketing objectives, student enrollment efforts, and strategic brand identity
- Grow followers and engagement across all social channels by implementing data‑driven strategies and creative campaigns
About the Candidate (including required competencies)
We’re looking for a creative and growth minded social content professional who is both a skilled writer and a strong visual storyteller with design and video editing capabilities. You should be comfortable creating content across multiple formats and platforms while constantly experimenting with new ideas, trends, and strategies to drive organic growth and engagement.
You thrive on creativity, clarity, storytelling, and visual impact, and understand how to turn business objectives into high performing content that builds audience trust, increases visibility, and generates meaningful engagement and leads. You are naturally curious about social performance, platform behaviour, and emerging trends, with a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
Requirements & Qualification
- 4-7 years of experience in social media content creation, design, and video editing
- Proven success in developing social strategies and producing content that drives measurable engagement and follower growth across major platforms.
- Strong copywriting skills for short‑form, persuasive, and engaging content
- Proficiency with design and video editing tools such as Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms
- Familiarity with generative AI tools for content ideation and optimisation
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment and adapt quickly to new trends
