Arose NY is a fast-growing US-based luxury perfume oil and home fragrance brand. Alcohol-free, vegan, minimalist, and ready to grow our social channels seriously.
We're looking for someone who can OWN our social media strategy end-to-end: decide what we post, why, when, and then create most of it themselves. This is not an execution-only design role. We need a strategic thinker who happens to also be a strong designer and video editor.

= 8:00 PM to 4:00 AM IST during Standard Time
= 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM IST during Daylight Saving

About the Role
You will be the person responsible for growing @arose.ny on Instagram and TikTok. Not just "posting content", but actually moving the follower count, engagement, and reach numbers. You'll plan our content calendar, pitch campaign ideas, study what's working for beauty and fragrance brands globally, and then execute most of the creative yourself.
The split is roughly 70% strategy and content planning, 30% hands-on design and video execution. You'll work directly with the founder and have real ownership over the brand's social presence.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy (the core of this role)
- Own the monthly and weekly content calendar for Instagram and TikTok
- Set follower growth, engagement, and reach targets, and hit them
- Research beauty, perfume, and lifestyle brands weekly. Bring back ideas, formats, hooks, and trends we should test
- Propose campaign concepts for seasonal launches, sales, and product drops
- Track performance metrics and adjust strategy based on what's working
- Recommend collaborations, UGC opportunities, and influencer outreach angles
- Review what competitors are doing and tell us where we're falling behind
Short-Form Video Content
- Plan and edit 4 to 6 Reels or TikToks per week using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Build kinetic typography, motion graphics, and transitions that match a luxury aesthetic
- Identify trending audio and formats early, adapt them to our brand
- Storyboard and direct video concepts before editing
Social Media Design
- Design posts, carousels, stories, and highlight covers using our brand templates
- Maintain a consistent grid aesthetic. No AI-generated images, no off-brand visuals.
- Write caption hooks and copy that work with the visuals
Website & E-commerce Creative
- Design Shopify homepage banners, hero images, and promotional creatives
- Create Amazon product images, infographics, comparison charts, and A+ content
- Produce 3D product mockups and lifestyle compositions
Campaigns & Brand Identity
- Build creatives for seasonal launches, Meta and Amazon ads, and email marketing
- Develop visuals for influencer collaborations and UGC briefs
- Maintain a consistent luxury aesthetic across every touchpoint
- Design product labels and print-ready packaging files when needed

Required Skills & Tools
Strategy:
- Proven track record of growing a brand's social following (please share numbers)
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, and Reels algorithms
- Comfortable with Meta Business Suite, TikTok analytics, and basic performance reporting
- Sharp eye for trends in beauty, fragrance, and luxury lifestyle
Design & Video (non-negotiable):
- Adobe Premiere Pro, advanced
- Adobe After Effects, confident with motion graphics, kinetic typography, transitions
- Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, advanced
- CapCut for fast-turnaround edits
Nice-to-have:
- Canva (as a quick tool, not the primary one)
- Kling AI or Runway for AI video assist
- Basic photography or product styling
- Copywriting for captions and hooks

Ideal Candidate Profile
- 3 to 5 years running social media for a brand (in-house or agency), with at least 1 to 2 years in beauty, fragrance, skincare, or lifestyle
- Can show real growth numbers from a previous account you managed (screenshots, before and after follower counts, viral content links)
- Strategic thinker. Comes with ideas, doesn't wait to be told what to do.
- Self-managed and disciplined. We won't be checking on you hourly.
- Comfortable with US Eastern hours (9:30 AM to 5:30 PM ET)
- Reliable internet and a workstation that can handle Premiere and After Effects smoothly
- This is your primary job, not a side hustle. We expect full focus during work hours.

We'll give you a creative brief, you'll share your screen, turn on your camera, and walk us through how you'd approach it using the tools you know best. You don't need to finish the task.
